A place where children take the lead and play as much as they like. Kids from every grade come together, and adults watch over them from a gentle distance. Taking part is free.
Four things we care about
A place where children of the Miono school district gather freely across grade levels
and find their own way to play and get absorbed in it.
Adults do not hand out answers — they trust the children and watch over them.
"What shall we play today?" — the children decide for themselves. Play starts from wanting to do it.
Little ones and older kids play side by side — teaching, copying, and building bonds naturally.
Feeling safe is what makes trying possible. "That was fun!" becomes the spark for the next step.
Adults hold back instead of stepping in too soon. The children are always the stars.

Ball games, badminton, tag and more — everyone decides together what to play that day
There is “free play time” and “play together time”

Basketball, dodgeball, baseball and more — on a wide field and in the gym.

Rally with racket and shuttle. We also play “balloon badminton”, gentle enough for small children and grown-ups to enjoy together.

Run, escape, catch. Kids of every grade running wild together.

On your own, or as a group with a long rope. Nothing beats the smile the moment you land it.

A Paralympic sport where you roll balls at a target. Anyone can be the star.

Bring your own equipment and ideas, and we play together.
Free to join. You may arrive or leave at any time during the event

A volunteer team of parents who want children to grow up healthy and happy

Minokko Asobiba is a community event held as a project of the Miono Elementary School PTA. The working team inside the PTA, Minokko Hagukumi-tai, plans and runs it, and with the support of the Miono District Council of Social Welfare we provide the equipment the children play with.
We hold the event four times a year, borrowing the grounds and gyms of Miono Elementary School and Kohoku Junior High School. Everything is run by volunteers, and taking part is free.
We are looking for people to play with and keep an eye on younger children in the kids' space on the day.

Look forward to the next one. Bring your friends and come and play.
